You need to move one operable car between two addresses in the same state and you do not want a callback or a home estimate before you see a number. We arrange door-to-door transport on an open carrier through a vetted carrier, resell the shipment under our brand, and stay your single accountable contact from pickup to delivery. Your price online in minutes. No callback, no estimate visit.
What one shipment includes
- One operable passenger vehicle, transported door-to-door between two street addresses in the same state (Georgia, California, Florida or Michigan), or the nearest point a full-size carrier can legally and safely reach.
- Transport on an open carrier, the type almost every car-shipping carrier runs.
- Arrangement with one vetted carrier for the whole trip; we do not disclose which carrier we route your shipment to.
- One confirmed price before you pay, and one point of contact if anything changes.
Enclosed transport and inoperable vehicles
Enclosed transport and inoperable (non-running) vehicles are handled differently: your request goes to a person, and we do not show a price online for either yet. If your vehicle does not start or roll under its own power, or you specifically need an enclosed trailer, say so in your request and we will follow up.
What we do not ship
Motorcycles, boats, RVs and heavy equipment; terminal-to-terminal shipments; international routes and Hawaii or Alaska; and we do not guarantee a specific pickup or delivery date. A vetted carrier's schedule is confirmed within a window, not a fixed appointment.
What we ask before quoting
- Pickup and delivery addresses, or ZIP codes to start.
- Vehicle year, make and model, and whether it is currently operable.
- Your preferred pickup window and how flexible it is.
- Whether you are shipping because you bought the car elsewhere, are moving, or another reason.
- Your contact details, so we can confirm the price and the carrier.
Common reasons people ship a car with us
- Shipping a car you bought out of state or online: coordinating pickup with a seller or dealer.
- Car shipping for a household move: moving your car separately from a moving truck.
- Snowbird car shipping: timing a seasonal move around the weeks everyone else books.

Before you book anyone
- Shipping vs. driving it yourself: the IRS-rate math to hold against any quote.
- Car shipping cost: what companies actually quoted us for one car in September 2026, route by route.
- Quote checker: a worksheet for reading any written quote line by line.
- Transit time estimator: typical days on the truck by distance, plus the dispatch time that comes before it.
- Compare methods and companies: open or enclosed, door or terminal, broker or carrier.
- FAQ and about us: who we are, what we do not claim, and who insures the car.
Guides for each step of a shipment
- Choosing who to hire. How to check a car shipper on FMCSA SAFER walks through the free federal lookup to run before you pay anyone a deposit. Broker vs carrier explains what each one is under federal rules and what each must hold.
- Choosing how it travels. Open vs enclosed says when an enclosed trailer is the better fit, and door-to-door vs terminal says when a terminal drop-off can save money and when it costs you time.
- Comparing national brokers. Our side-by-side pages for Montway and RoadRunner use what each company publishes, and Montway alternatives says which option fits which trip.
- Before pickup. Pickup windows explains why a carrier gives a window and not an hour; prepare your car is the checklist for before the driver arrives.
- If something goes wrong. Insurance, inspection and damage covers what federal rules require, why the pickup inspection matters, and what to do if you find damage.
Where we serve
We book moves that start and end in the same state, in Georgia, California, Florida and Michigan: for example Atlanta to Savannah, Miami to Tampa, San Francisco to Los Angeles or Detroit to Grand Rapids. We do not hold federal broker authority, so we do not book a trip that crosses a state line; ask anyway and we reply, free, with licensed companies that run it. See where we ship for every lane and the reason for the limit.
Need it fast?
An expedited pickup request is possible when a vetted carrier has a truck and legal driving hours available near your pickup address; we check and confirm the window and price before you pay.
How we choose the carrier for your shipment
Before we route a shipment to a carrier, we confirm it holds a USDOT number and check its FMCSA SAFER Company Snapshot record, described by FMCSA as "a concise electronic record of a company's identification, size, commodity information, and safety record" (safer.fmcsa.dot.gov, read 2026-09-21). We are a new company with no completed-shipment reviews to publish; we show the process and the price instead.
Questions
- Do you own trucks? No. We arrange each shipment with a vetted carrier and stay accountable for the result; see how it works.
- Will you tell me which carrier is picking up my car? We confirm the carrier's contact details once your shipment is booked; we do not publish which carrier we route jobs to as a general practice.
- Is the checkout live? Yes, for routes that show an online price: you pay on the page, through Stripe. Every other route gets a price from a person by email first, and nothing is charged until you agree to it.
Why book this way
- Your price online in minutes. No callback, no estimate visit, no waiting for someone to get back to you.
- One all-in price before any contact. The national auto-transport brokers we read show quote-request forms or calculator fields, not a posted price, before you submit your trip details (montway.com, roadrunnerautotransport.com, read 2026-09-21).
- One point of contact from your request to the finished delivery. We work with a vetted carrier and answer for the result.
- You pay only after the price and your booking are confirmed.
