How Our Car Shipping Price Is Built and Confirmed
One all-in number for your shipment, built from the corridor between pickup and delivery, your vehicle's size and condition, open transport, your pickup-window flexibility, and the season. You see it before you pay, and after that it changes only if you agree to a change in your shipment.
Two ways a price reaches you
Routes with an online price. Some routes show an all-in price the moment you describe your shipment. That price comes from a current, dated quote for that route and one standard operable car, and it is shown with the date it holds until. You pay on the page, through Stripe. We then arrange the carrier and confirm your pickup window by email before dispatch.
Every other route. A person builds the price for your specific shipment and emails it to you. Nothing is booked and nothing is charged until you see that number and give the go-ahead.
If we cannot place your car
If we cannot confirm a carrier for your shipment at the price you paid, we refund your payment in full.
When a price can change
If something about your shipment changes (a different vehicle, a different address, a different window, an enclosed request), we confirm any price change with you before it applies.
What is never added later
No fuel surcharge, no booking fee, and no line that appears after you pay. If it is not on the confirmed price, it does not exist.
Enclosed and inoperable requests
These do not have an online price yet. A person builds a price for your specific request once you tell us what you need. If you are not sure you need an enclosed trailer, read open vs enclosed first.
Questions
- Do you charge a deposit? No separate deposit. On a route with an online price you pay the full all-in price at checkout, and we pay the carrier; you never pay the driver. See cancellation for what happens if you cancel.
- Will the price change on pickup day? Not for the shipment you confirmed. A change to your vehicle, addresses, or timing is a different shipment and gets a new confirmed price.
- How is your price different from an online calculator? A calculator estimates from general inputs; we confirm an actual price with an actual carrier for your route and vehicle before you pay.
